What’s your name?
Milan
What part(s) of the industry do you work in?
Dancer
How did you get started in the industry?
I was 18 and working at journeys making $140/week + commission and I had a manager who loved to scream at whichever of her employees she felt like. One night I went to a strip club with a fake ID and met a dancer named Jezebel, she told me I should consider dancing and if I wanted to do it she’d teach me everything I needed to know. The next day I went into work at journeys and got screamed at and walked out. I called Jezebel and she told me if i gave her a few rides to work she’d get me all set in the strip club, and she did :) best decision ever.
What's your zodiac sign(s), and does it/they resonate with you?
Aries sun, Sagittarius rising, Capricorn moon. 100% resonates and I think my big 3 are the perfect combo to make money at the club.

Tell us about your favorite shift or customer ever!
One of my favorite customers was this guy who used to come into my first club ever and have me throw sugar free redbulls at his balls. May he find me again one day.
Do you have any pets? We love pets, please tell us about them!
Yes! I have a Ragdoll cat named Zombie and she is also a stripper! She loves doing pole and loves wearing angel candy.

How have you made yourself stand out when working?
I currently work at a club in LA where I’m the only heavily tattooed dancer. Being in LA there’s the fair share of customers who really look down on tattooed women. So I locked in and hyper focused on pole so I could climb it upside down and back flip off of it so there was something about my presentation that can’t be argued with.

What is your funniest story related to work?
Recently at my club I walked up to a customer and he threw his hand up in my face in disgust over my tattoos, told me he wasn’t getting any dances. Then he walked up to a girl right after and went upstairs with her to VIP (our VIP rooms are on the second level at my club). When they finished with their room he was walking down stairs and fell down the last 5 steps and the whole club customers included saw. Instant karma LOL
What are some of your favorite things and hobbies outside of work?
I love to chill at home with my cat. I model for brands like angel candy and Dollskill. I have a pole at home that I play on. I like to go to rock and metal festivals if I have friends playing them, and of course as of recently, travel dancing :)
What is a goal you’re proud you were able to reach while doing and because of SW?
I started dancing 13 years ago when I was 18 in Columbus, Ohio and I'm so grateful that's where I began my career. I always dreamed of moving to a bigger city like LA, or, NY and having a cute bimbo coded apartment with a cat named Zombie. I did exactly that and more and started modeling for brands I shopped from when I was a young adult. Barely Legal me would lose her mind if she knew where I'd end up.

What is something you feel needs to change in the industry?
I think it needs to be an industry standard that if a club takes 50% cut or more there should be no house fees.
There is a lot of talk nowadays about sex work being “empowering.” Is this true for you and why or why not?
Yes it’s always been a method of empowerment for me. I feel like dancing has made me more intelligent and responsible. I work whenever I want, wherever I want, the money is lucrative, I've reached a point in my career where I can pick and choose my clientele and it's left me with a really positive work environment.
What is your best tip for making money at work?
Smile. Always smile. That’s what I have to tell myself every time before I go in.

What's your favorite colors / styles / accessories to wear at work?
I love to wear black at work, I don’t know why i just think it’s so sexy. when I first started shopping at angel candy, I bought pleaser flamingo 3000 pleasers in every color so that when I felt like wearing color I could be perfectly curated and matched up.
Do you have any industry "life hacks" to share?
I think it’s really important to take care of your body and dancing is extremely hard on your body. I always recommend wearing something that covers your legs if you can, like how i’m always in boots, I do it so that I can wear leg warmers underneath my boots and then knee pads underneath the leg warmers. once I started doing that, all my leg bruises went away, my back stopped hurting, absolute game changer.
How can customers make you feel spoiled, appreciated, and respected?
When a customer respects my time and understands that engaging with me is not free, I really appreciate that as well as them doing what they can to make my life easier without me even having to ask. Best kind of customer.
