DECEMBER 2022: LUCY

What’s your name?

Lucy

.

What do you do/what part(s) of the biz do you work in?

Stripper / Cam Girl / SWer / Only Fans

.

How did you get started in the industry?
I walked in trying to be a waitress and walked out a stripper :)
.
If you’ve worked in more than one aspect of SW, which is your favorite and why?
Stripping it’s my favorite source of money for me I love dancing and watching men pull out their money from their wallet for me
.
How have you made yourself stand out when working?
Confidence is key but cute ass outfits definitely helps.
.
What is your funniest story related to work?
I was doing a double dance with my best friend and I started moaning like when does while doing a dirty dance and she started laughing at me and we both started laughing while we were on the lap of our customer he looks so confused
What is a goal you’re proud you were able to reach while doing and because of SW?
Financial stability and I got fit as fuck.
.
What is something you feel needs to change in the industry?
The clubs need to take better care of their girls. I feel like some of the clubs don’t care about their workers and act like we are disposable. In reality customers walk through those doors to see us.
.
What is your best tip for making money at work?
1: Always start with the highest price so try to sell a VIP first and if they do not want that then you can go down from there. Don’t negotiate. If you don’t wanna do a dance for X amount of dollars then don’t. you are valuable and the customers must also value you, your time and energy.
2: Always ask for a TIP! I get tips after every dance and normally equals out to at least $100 extra. It’s really easy all you have to say is “ OK baby that was five dances and that will be $200 and whatever you wanna tip me” 3. Get that resting bitch face off your face! You are such a friendly girl and when you mad dog all the customers they are already standoffish. Go up to every customer and smile at them even if it’s just to introduce yourself :))
.
What has been something SW helped you with/encouraged you to do, or how has SW made you more confident?
Strippers are elite but I’ve also dabbled in pole dancing and that has made me fit as fuck.
.
What has been your biggest challenge in the industry?
Often times it’s hard for me to get to work because I’ll make a lump sum of money then pay my bills and feel like I don’t need to go anymore. then it gets me out of my money flow:( and makes things harder for me to get back in the club.
.
Sw is exhausting physically, mentally, and emotionally- How do you decompress and engage in self care in the face of that?
I actually recently stopped drinking at the club. I used to feel like I had to drink to be fun but I realize that’s not true. I definitely feel like that was something that I needed to do for my own mental health and well-being.
.
Describe your best night ever working!
My best shift ever was a dayshift and I was early as shit. I was the first girl on the floor and there was only one customer in the club. I went up to him and he was actually very nice. I sold a VIP room for $2000 and after I made my money I left:) that was the most I’ve ever made in two hours.
.
We all have a story about a babe in the industry who we loved and were inspired by from the moment we met her- tell us about her/them:
Miami. This girl was one of the first dancers to give me advice when I first started working. I had been sexually assaulted on my second week and I was crying in the dressing room and she came up to me and gave me a hug. She told me that shit like that happens and that I need to stick with it and eventually I’ll learn how to deal with situations like that. She told me if I kept dancing I'd make so much money and that it is worth it. She made me feel less alone and like everything was gonna be OK. She also told me next time shit like that happens that I should charge his ass because she could get in big trouble and I could take advantage of him like that. “You are not supposed to do that! This dance is over and if you don’t want me to tell the manager to call the police you need to give me $500 right now”.
.
What do you wish people knew about us (SWers), and about you personally as a SWer?
We’re not sex robots we have feelings man! When you bring us down it affects us because we are just girls trying to make a living.
.
How have you dealt with the stigma of being out as a SW, if you’ve faced any?
I tell everyone that I have a sex worker. I get looks I get stares but honestly that’s the only way we’re gonna break the stigma is if we become proud of what we do and stop thinking it is too taboo to talk about.
.
What are your plans for the future (can be related to the industry or not!!)?
I’m in the editing process of making a stripper podcast. I want to build a community where girls in the industry can feel welcomed and share their stories. The goal is to be come closer with all girls, not just strippers and cam girls but even full service women and sugar babies. We are all making money with our body and it’s time that we break its stigma.
.
There is a lot of talk nowadays about sex work being “empowering.” Is this true for you and why or why not?
Sex work is empowering because we get a lot of confidence for it. I guess it is also empowering to be able to financially support yourself.
What is something you wish you’d known when you started in the industry?
I wish I saved! Especially when 2020 hit. I was really down during that time:( Do you know what they say fast money spends fast!
