MAY 2023: Tootsie

What’s your name?
Tootsie
What part(s) of the industry do you work in?
Stripper
How did you get started in the industry?
I had been working as a medical technician in home care and was so tired of living check to check. I was interested in going back to school and stripping is something that was always in the back of my mind so I decided to go in and audition. Made enough money to pay my tuition within a month after.
Do you have any pets? We love pets, please tell us about them!
I have a Cockapoo named Pardi! I drove all the way to Pennsylvania with one of my best friends to get her last year July. And life literally revolves around her lol. She is my baby from my womb no one can tell me otherwise
How have you made yourself stand out when working?
Back when I was a newbie lol I thought I was a Euphoria character and would put diamonds all over my eyes/eyebrows. Different color and application every night to match my outfits. Men were always mesmerized lol
What is a goal you’re proud you were able to reach while doing and because of SW?
Finally being able to pay off my credit cards that were put into collections. Paying my school tuition. Saving up more money than I’ve ever had by myself, and recently getting my first apartment and fully furnishing it within the first month.
There is a lot of talk nowadays about sex work being “empowering.” Is this true for you and why or why not?
Yes, absolutely. Not only was I able to reach my financial goals but working in the club has shown me how powerful I can be, how I deserve way more than I thought I did. How sexy I am and that I need to be more confident in myself. So I bring that same energy outside of the club now and my standards have gone up, my tolerance has gone down and I think it would have taken me longer to realize these things if I hadn’t started dancing.
What is your best tip for making money at work?
Either be good at conversation, or be great at sex appeal. Lots of times you’ll get a dance or a room off a relatable conversation, other times you get it from being flirty and ditsy. Find your niche, make your customer feel important. If the club is dead or you don’t know who to approach, get on stage! Everyone will be looking at you and I guarantee someone will grab you when you come off or you just go to whoever was tipping you and make more. Be the fantasy!
How can customers make you feel spoiled, appreciated, and respected?
Come and see me when it’s dead, tip well on stage and ALWAYS ask If I want a drink because I almost always do lmao, oh and order me food!
What has been your biggest challenge in the industry and how do you cope with that?
I wouldn’t even consider this a big challenge it’s something I’ve gotten use too but rejection. We’ve all experienced it and it never feels good. When a guy tells you “I’m just hanging out for now” and you turn around a minute later and see him dancing with another girl. Or when they tell you they’re leaving goodnight and next thing you know they’re making it rain on someone else, or just a straight up “you’re not my type, “I’m good”. I brush it off now but and it’s like ok your loss and in order to get to this point I had to realize for every guy who rejects me there’s a guy who will beg to suck my toes lol
What do you wish people knew about us, and about you personally as a SWer?
I actually like what I do, because it makes ME feel good. We have feelings. We HATE when you try to tell us we’re too good to be doing this. Obviously we know it’s not something we have to do. It’s a choice. We hate when you ask and expect to get our real names. Just because we’re half naked doesn’t ever mean we want to be groped especially for free.
What are your plans for the future (can be related to the industry or not!)?
I want to go back to school for medical sonography, scrubs by day g strings by night
What advice would you give younger you, if you could, both work related and in general?
SAVE your money. Don’t trust just anyone. People don’t need a reason to treat you badly.
Where can we find you?
Personal: @therealbjosette
Thank you, Tootsie! XOXO
