AUGUST 2022 - Sadie

AUGUST 2022

What's your name?
Sadie

What do you do/what part(s) of the biz do you work in?
Stripper

If you’ve worked in more than one aspect of SW, which is your favorite and why?
I’ve tried web camming but my personality type is much more suited for an in person club experience and I’ve loved every second of it since!

How have you made yourself stand out when working?
I feel like I make myself stand out with top-of-the-line lingerie and definitely my personality has helped with the sales aspect of the job! Making yourself stand out in a nightclub is definitely a mindset, confidence is sexy

What is your funniest story related to work?
I had a client too a two hour Champagne room where all we spoke about were ocean animals and by the time the room was over he was upset that that’s all he spoke about/did with me XD

What is a goal you’re proud you were able to reach while doing and because of SW?
Becoming financially free

What is something you feel needs to change in the industry?
I feel like girls need to have more realistic standards with the not so fun part of our industry such as slow nights! It is very unrealistic to think a slow night won’t happen to you. Slower nights are very normal and part of the job and we need to learn to not associate our earnings to our worth.

What is your best tip for making money at work?
Becoming well educated in various topics outside of”strip club” talk, high end clients love and educated woman that can hold a conversation.

What has been something SW helped you with/encouraged you to do, or how has SW made you more confident?
SW has helped me reclaim my power and confidence as a woman, there is nothing I can do and nothing anyone can deny me if I want it bad enough! All those goals and money out there that I want, it’s already mine and SW has helped me re-discover that power that has always been within me.

What has been your biggest challenge in the industry?
Learning to deal with different types of personalities on a nightly basis and how to converse with different types of people.

Sw is exhausting physically, mentally, and emotionally- How do you decompress and engage in self care in the face of that?
I make sure to give myself proper vacations at least twice a year as well as allow myself to relax and not think of work on the days that I decide to stay home. Self-care such as getting facials, massages or just relaxing at home are so important in this industry and actually maximize our earnings indirectly.

Describe your best night ever working!
My best night working was with a bachelor party that came two nights in a row and spent thousands of dollars each night. They were so respectful and they were there to have a great time and paid me so well! It’s nights like these they remind me why I love what I do and just how good I am at it!!

We all have a story about a babe in the industry who we loved and were inspired by from the moment we met her- tell us about her/them:
I didn’t have any friends in this industry before I started so I was pretty alone in the beginning, I always looked up to the older dancers that would kill it on stage with their athleticism and their hustle, I love learning from veteran dancers and they are almost always so sweet and open to teaching baby strippers the ways!

What do you wish people knew about us (SWers), and about you personally as a SWer?
I wish people would understand that this job can be extremely isolating because if you aren’t someone that is in this industry it’s very hard for you to relate to our tough nights where we may need some support emotionally. This job is all about people pleasing so I feel like it’s important to understand that by the end of a crazy weekend we don’t have a really big social battery because of the work we do.

How have you dealt with the stigma of being out as a SW, if you’ve faced any?
I keep it very private so I haven’t dealt with any direct stigma thankfully and even if I did have to take a stigma I wouldn’t care at all because at this point in my journey with my job I am so confident, comfortable and proud of all that I’ve accomplished and no one can make me think otherwise.

What are your plans for the future (can be related to the industry or not!!)?
I got into this industry so I can achieve financial freedom and it’s been an amazing run, my goals are to continue building up my investments and teaching other women how to invest as well, I will probably be in the club for a few more years building my foundation and my page.

There is a lot of talk nowadays about sex work being “empowering.” Is this true for you and why or why not?
Everyone has their own opinion on this question but since I have such a healthy relationship with my job yes, I do feel like the job has been very empowering for me and has helped me feel more powerful and strong than ever. This job has taught me about boundaries, how to establish rules for my body, when to say yes or no and who I allow to share time with me. This job really set up the structure I needed to be a strong woman.

What is something you wish you’d known when you started in the industry?
When I started in the industry when I was 22 years old I wish I had a better foundation of how to manage the immense wealth we have the opportunity to walk into, it’s pretty easy to fall into the glamorous lifestyle strippers usually partake in such as the crazy cars, expensive bags and overall high living
expenses. I wish that I learned that money can go just as quickly as it comes!
